MEET Volker. One of the defining minds of the modern European Ayurveda scene and with nine books the most successful, european Ayurveda book author of recent years. Among other things, he won the Gourmand World Cook Book Award twice in a row in the category Best India Cookbook in Germany. The plan was actually another ... after graduating from high school, followed by a small excursion to the university in Mainz with the degree course Catholic Theology. After only one semester, but a semblance in Hebrew, he had the idea of going another way professionally. An elementary key experience was the severe cancer of his father, which brought him into contact with integrative medicine for the first time since 1990, and his experiences continue to shape his work to this day.
Thus, in 2006, with his training as an Ayurvedic Health Consultant, he made his great passion his profession and here he has also found his personal destiny and can pursue his two great passions, cooking and dealing with people every day.
The search for new inspiration led him, among other things, to the three star kitchen of the Schwarzwaldstube, then still under the direction of legend Harald Wohlfahrt. You can experience his passion for cooking with Europe-wide cooking classes and workshops live
However, not only foodies but also people with serious health problems benefit from his culinary skills and rich experience.
Volker teaches the Ayurveda module in our Yoga Therapy Training
